About Us

Who We Are

We are your ALCOCO family.
We are a family-oriented group that shifted our leisure and tourist products into healthcare. Realizing that the world has changed overnight, we now distill coconut nectar into hand sanitizers and disinfectants for the Filipino family and the global community.

We are Local.
When forced to live in a bubble, we realized early into today’s health crisis that we needed to use local resources. We are coconut farm owners and workers who harvest and distill coconut nectar every day and compound it into sanitizers/disinfectants in facilities licensed by the Food and Drug Administration of the Philippines.

We are Philippine Craft Distillers Inc.
Our farm-distillery is at Barrio Bulaklakan, Lipa City, Batangas with sales and marketing offices at U2518 Parkway Corporate Center, Parkway Ave., Filinvest, Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Philippines.

Our Why

The Story of ALCOCO.
Our story begins at the break of dawn when we harvest coconut nectar for our wines and spirits. Our enterprise is to ferment and distill coconut nectar into alcoholic beverages.

When COVID-19 closed the borders of the world, our families stayed home and pondered on how we can protect the health of our children, parents, and grandparents.

Since our facilities could distill coconut nectar into alcoholic beverages, we decided to convert a portion of our ethanol into sanitizing ethyl alcohol. Thus, we initially distilled ethyl alcohol from coconut nectar for our personal use as a sanitizer and disinfectant. We sanitized our hands with 70% ethyl alcohol from coconuts when we were at home or when we had to travel out of our residences. We then compounded this coconut alcohol into a sanitizer and placed them in small bottles. We made sure that every member of our family always had one in their pockets or bags when traveling out of the house.

After realizing that the pandemic will force all global citizens into a New Normal, we had our coconut sanitizer tested for efficacy. After being informed that it had a 99.9% germ kill rate, we then decided to share this local sanitizer with our community.

We presented our coconut sanitizer to the Philippine Coconut Authority and immediately obtained their full support. We were likewise assisted by the Department of Science and Technology in the testing and analysis of our sanitizer. We then licensed ALCOCO with the Food and Drug Administration of the Philippines.

The story of ALCOCO is still unfolding. We are continuously collaborating with coconut farmers and are sharing with them the possibility of using coconut alcohol to protect the health of their families. We are constantly introducing local coconut alcohol to sectors of our society as an alternative to imported ethyl and isopropyl alcohol.

Our Why is simple. It is because of the Filipino family and the global community.
